Jeb Bush has just told everyone that he’s running to become the next president of the United States of America.
According to Politico, Bush has chosen a 39-year-old consultant named Danny Diaz to be his campaign manager.
Keep in mind that Bush has not announced that he is running to become the next president, and that he has spent a majority of his time denying that he is running.
So it makes a person wonder why someone would announce that he has a campaign manager when he doesn’t have a campaign.
Well, the only logical explanation for this is that Bush has a campaign and that he has had an un-official campaign since the beginning of this year.
The one thing that points to this fact is that a fella named Dave Kochel was tapped to be the campaign manager.
According to Politico, all of that went asunder after Bush’s top adviser, Sally Bradshaw, blamed Kochel for the love that Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) are getting from the conservative media.
Politico quoted someone who wanted to tell everything but didn’t want their name out as saying, “Sally and company felt like they were losing the media battle to Walker and Rubio. Last week this decision was made. Kochel found out last week.”
Bush has been up and down in the polls and his little slip-up that his big brother, former President George W. Bush Jr, did the right thing by going into Iraq didn’t help Bush with the voters.
Also, conservative voters believe Bush is a little too moderate or Romney like. And Kochel, who was fired from his un-official campaign manager position, is a former member of Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign team.
So with the first debate being less than 2 months away and everybody jumping into the race, Bush has to find a way to define himself before his gaffes, last name, and moderate views take him under.
And what better way for Bush to begin shaping his political image than to announce that he has a new campaign manager for his presidential campaign a week before he officially announces that he is running to become the next president.
